Oquirrh Mountain Temple
The Oquirrh Mountain Temple opened in Sandy this summer and so me and the in-laws went up to see it before it got dedicated. It was my first time ever being inside a temple and it made me so excited for the day that Tyler and I make it there. It was so beautiful and I loved it so much! Aubrie said it was pretty small compared to the St. George temple, but a lot more modern. There was the most beautiful chandeliers and mirrors! I just loved all of it!

Washington DC
Tyler and I have been meaning to go down to Virginia to have a Sunday dinner with my great aunt, so we packed up and headed down there on Saturday night. We spent the night at her house and woke up super early in the morning to go site seeing around Washington DC. She only lives about a half an hour away so we had about 5 hours to see everything before our lunch at 1:30. We would like to go back someday and actually take our time to see all the museums and some of the awesome things that the city has to offer. Here are a few things we got to see!
Our first stop was the park with all the memorials. We saw the Vietnam Wall, the Korean War memorial, The world war II memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial.
The Lincoln Memorial over looks the reflecting pool so after we saw all the memorials we took a walk down to the George Washington Memorial.
The George Washington Memorial
Only certain parts of the Smithsonian Museum were open on Sundays so we didn't get to see half of what the museum has to offer which was a huge disappointment. But we did get to see the "Pile of Loot" from the movie "Night at the Museum, The Smithsonian" which was just a pile of crap they have collected over the years from Hollywood movies and sitcoms. The signs said they had everything from Archie Bunker's arm chair to The Fonz's leather jacket.
The actual copy of the Deceleration of Independence and The Bill of Rights were located in the National Archives Building right by the Smithsonian Museum, so Ty and I decided to run in and take a quick glance. We were running so behind for dinner at this point we didn't really get to take the time to really look at the documents and all of the other neat things they had in this building but we are glad that we were able to see such a huge piece of history.

4th of July
For the 4th of July Ty and I originally wanted to go to New York and watch the fire works on the Hudson Bay. How awesome would that have been? But it didn't work out due to NO money haha! So we decided to stay in Philadelphia and go to the Parkway where they had a live concert by Sheryl Crow and The Roots. I have never seen so many people in my entire life! It was crazy! We left our house at 5:30 and got to down town Philly about a half an hour later and we drove around for an hour and a half looking for parking, and every time we would find a spot Tyler had to ask the cops if it was alright if we park there haha it was so stupid! I never knew I married such a goodie goodie! It was ridiculous! Finally we broke down and decided to pay for parking. When we finally got to the festival we walked around and looked at everything and then Ty decided he wanted some corn, 2 hours later we finally reached the stand! The line for the baked corn was outrageous! Even though it was so packed we had a great night together and it was so nice to spend some time with my husband considering he is always working!
With other news, I am coming home on July 20th and I am so excited! Tyler will be staying in Philadelphia for another couple months to finish off the summer. I am going to miss him to death! But then again I cant wait to go home to my house and my new dining room table! :) AH! I hope everyone had a happy 4th!

Tucker Has a BooBoo
Tucker taking it easy with Tyler's blinkeys! He deserved it!
Tucker and I went to work on Tuesday morning as usual, I worked on getting the equipment ready and Tucker attended the sales rep meeting. After we were finished with our duties we left the office and came home to do a little cleaning. An hour goes by and then Ty comes home to have lunch before heading out for the day. Well Tucker is jumping all over Tyler and playing around and then the next thing you no there is blood everywhere! I immediately grabbed Tucker and took him to the sink and that's when i saw his finger nail. His middle nail on his right paw was bent all the way back and hanging on by a thread. I started blacking out and called Ty in and eventually we got it cleaned up and taken care of. Somewhere in the mix of the meeting and the playing with Ty Tuckie got a real bad booboo. He has to wear a home made cast on his foot and he hates it. He wont play with anyone or even come outside, he thinks he looks dumb. Haha! Anyways, I took the bandage off today and it is doing better and doesn't look like its infective so that's good!
Tucker is having a really hard summer and cant wait to come home, and he isn't the only one! We have had to take Tucker to the doctor for allergies several times now! Tucker and the eastern coast do not mix well together! .. Anyways I have been a slacker on my blog lately, and unfortunately all i have to blog about is Tucker's toenail! Ill try to do better and get going on some good blog adventures!

Hooters!
Another Sunday has come and gone, but this time we decided to just stay close to home and spend time with our friends. Ty and I met everyone at the pool and just laid out all day, it was so nice to relax for once! Usually Ty doesn't love the pool but he was pretty good that day, he even took his shirt off and wore flip flops :). After a few hours at the pool we came home and got ready for HOOTERS. The reason we went to Hooters was because it was our friend Travis' birthday. He loved it! The food was not so good though, it was actually really really sick! But it was a super fun atmosphere and we were glad we went!

Tucker's first Birthday!
It was Tuckie's first birthday and so we decided to have a party! His new best buddy Lewie came over for some cake and they just loved it! We even put a candle on the cake and everything, it was super cute! On the night before his b-day I ran down to this pet store just right down the street called Braxton's and they actually sell dog birthday cakes so I got Tuckie the honey and oats one! (Tyler secretly wanted to have a bite of the cake cause it smelled delicious!). Although Tuck and Lewie had a wonderful time, he still misses his Cedar friends :)

Philadelphia Zoo
For Memorial weekend Ty and I went to the zoo. The word on the streets is that the Philadelphia Zoo was the first zoo ever. They were also celebrating their 150th anniversary! For all of you that don't know me that well I LOVE ALL ANIMALS!!!! And I wanted to take this hipo home with me :) she was so cute! Thats right she is a girl and she weighs 4500 lbs and she loves to play with this blue ball that you see her with! How cute is that! Anyways the zoo was super hot and muggy and we thought we were gonna pass out, so after the zoo we went and found the home of the "original" philly cheese steak. I didnt love it, infact i felt like i was going to barf but Ty just ate it right up! There are two place that claim to be the original and know one knows who really is, but we heard Geno's is better but the other one is right across the street and its called Pat's.
