Good Times
Megan and Russel are such good little party hostess' that they decided to have a get together last night so we went over and spent some time talking with Tyler's good friend from high school Matt Strand. We had pizza and played the wii and it was a blast! I have never played before so I was a little rusty at first but I kicked butt at bowling...not so much at tennis.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope everyone had a great holiday! Ty and I had a wonderful Christmas season. We had a way fun Christmas party at Paula's house and played games with the extended family and had a great dinner. It was a lot of fun and I wish we were able to see them more than just once a year :).
On Christmas day we spent the first half of the day with Tyler's family having a beautiful breakfast feast and going around to everyone's houses to see what they got. Then at noon we went down to St. George to have a dinner with my mom and grandparents and it was a great time also. My Grandpa is recently home from the hospital for having knee surgery and he is doing so good and walking great! He is such a strong man I look up to him and love him so much! Anyways, then we came home and went to The Blind Side at 7 and it was such a great movie!!!! If you haven't seen it you really really need too!!!

We also had a Christmas Eve party with just the close family and we had a gingerbread house contest and I though for sure we would win because I had Tyler on my team but he ended up building The Ward Stake Center instead of the gingerbread house!

Ugly Sweater Party
This year I hosted the Christmas Party for our friends! Every year we try to have a party, literally ever since Brandi and I were in 4th grade we have had one. So I made a roast for the first time ever! Brandi made some awesome chip and dip appetizers, and Annie made this really great pretzel/ strawberry jelly desert. We had a really great time and got to catch up on the gossip and the boys watched some sports.

Thanksgiving
This year I decided to host Thanksgiving because my grandma is getting to tired and it makes her really stressed out and now I know why! First of all I had to clean my house from top to bottom the night before and then I got sick with the worst cold ever! On Thursday I woke up and thought I was going to die because I felt so sick and I had 25 people showing up to my house in 6 hours! So Ty and I got up and put our game faces on and did it anyways. Everything turned out so good and everyone loved the food but by the time we got everything cleaned up and back to normal I was out like a light! It was so good to get to see all the family that only come around once a year and I'm so grateful for all of you!

Naughty Dog!
Tuckie is obsessed with ripping the limbs off of any new toys I buy him! This is the hedgehog with a Santa hat that he got for waiting in the car for me in the Wal-Mart parking lot :) .. What a brat!

The eyes were ripped off within 5 minutes and it took about a half hour before the back was tore open and the squeaker was out!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Last night I wanted to make some beef stew so I found a good recipe and was really excited about it! Well the recipe calls for 4 cloves of garlic but I didn't know that there are 4 cloves inside 1 button of garlic, so I added 4 whole buttons which equaled 16 cloves of garlic to my stew! I didn't figure out what had gone wrong when I was eating it till my friend Angie was asking about the garlic and then explained the 4 clove 1 button rule! I was so sad and let down so tonight I have decided to try baking something brand new that I have never made before and that happens to be.....PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE!! :)

It turned out fabulous and I want all of you to try this amazing recipe especially if you need a little confidence booster on your cooking cause its super easy but looks kinda hard! Thats the best part! So here is the recipe..
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 can 8 oz. sliced pineapple drained and cut in half
2 tablespoons chopped pecans if desired, Maraschino cherries if desired
1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick mix
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup milk or water
2 tablespoons vegtable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in round pan 9 x 1 1/4 inches, or square 8 x 8 x 2 inches in the oven. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter. Arrange pineapple slices in sinle layer on sugar mixture. Sprinkle with pecans. Place cherry in center of each pineapple slice (cherries with stems can be added after baking).
2. Beat remaining ingrediants in a large bowl for 4 min on low scarping sides often. Pour batter over pineapple.
3. Bake 30 to 35 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Immediatly turn pan upside down onto heat proof serving plate; leave pan over cake for a few minutes. Remove pan and let cake stand at least 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy Friends! :)

Picnics in the Fall
Right when Ty got home we decided to go on a picnic and have lunch and play catch with Tuckie. The weather was perfect and I don't know about everyone else but this is my favorite time of the year and I hope we continue to see the fall weather! Anyways we had a lot of fun and we got to talk and spend time with each other which was so nice considering that I didn't see him for so long!
Lake Powell
It has been a while since I posted a good blog with some good pictures but don't you worry I have saved them all for one big blog! Tyler got home about 2 weeks ago and I swear we have been so busy ever since! A few days after he got home my dad and the fam flew in from Georgia for the yearly visit and they definitely kept us busy. We had a Lake Powell trip and it was so fun! My uncle Ward was pulling the the tube that Ty and I were riding and I seriously thought we were gonna die!

Dad and Angela on the tube!
I LOVE LAKE POWELL!
After Lake Powell we continued to do fun things with the fam. We went to Pine Valley and had a great dinner. Then we went to the Dixie Round-up and it rained the whole entire time and the dirt was constantly in our eyes! We had a great time and love when this time comes every year so we can visit and do fun things!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple
The Oquirrh Mountain Temple opened in Sandy this summer and so me and the in-laws went up to see it before it got dedicated. It was my first time ever being inside a temple and it made me so excited for the day that Tyler and I make it there. It was so beautiful and I loved it so much! Aubrie said it was pretty small compared to the St. George temple, but a lot more modern. There was the most beautiful chandeliers and mirrors! I just loved all of it!

Washington DC
Tyler and I have been meaning to go down to Virginia to have a Sunday dinner with my great aunt, so we packed up and headed down there on Saturday night. We spent the night at her house and woke up super early in the morning to go site seeing around Washington DC. She only lives about a half an hour away so we had about 5 hours to see everything before our lunch at 1:30. We would like to go back someday and actually take our time to see all the museums and some of the awesome things that the city has to offer. Here are a few things we got to see!
Our first stop was the park with all the memorials. We saw the Vietnam Wall, the Korean War memorial, The world war II memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial.
The Lincoln Memorial over looks the reflecting pool so after we saw all the memorials we took a walk down to the George Washington Memorial.
The George Washington Memorial
Only certain parts of the Smithsonian Museum were open on Sundays so we didn't get to see half of what the museum has to offer which was a huge disappointment. But we did get to see the "Pile of Loot" from the movie "Night at the Museum, The Smithsonian" which was just a pile of crap they have collected over the years from Hollywood movies and sitcoms. The signs said they had everything from Archie Bunker's arm chair to The Fonz's leather jacket.
The actual copy of the Deceleration of Independence and The Bill of Rights were located in the National Archives Building right by the Smithsonian Museum, so Ty and I decided to run in and take a quick glance. We were running so behind for dinner at this point we didn't really get to take the time to really look at the documents and all of the other neat things they had in this building but we are glad that we were able to see such a huge piece of history.
