Christmas Eve/ Christmas Morning

Ty and I are super lucky that both of our families live close so that way we can spend the holidays with both families! Christmas Eve we went over to the in-laws and made ginger bread houses and played some games! It was a great time except the fact that Brody was sick and SUPER ornery! So we were all having a good time until it came time for Brody to eat so he could have his medicine, at that time all of the Christmas spirit got sucked right out of me!.. But the night went on and since it was Christmas I did decide to forgive Brody for getting spaghetti all over my new outfit and for screaming so loud at me that I went partially deaf!

Starting to make the houses

Jace and Amy with their house
Ken and Paula and their house
Ty and I with our house..Its not quite finished due to the above story!
Aubrie Kardyn and Marty with their house

Not feeling good :(

Santa came that night and brought Brody a Black and
Decker tool bench with lots and lots of tools!

...and his very own phone to call all of his friends on
Tucker got a duck with a Santa hat

We had a very Merry Christmas!

We spent the morning half of Christmas Day at the in laws with breakfast and present opening, and the last half of the day down in St. George at my mom's eating dinner and more present opening! We are so grateful for our wonderful families and all the joy they bring to our lives! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Best Time of the Year!

The tree is up, the stockings are hung, most of my presents are wrapped and we are feeling the Holiday Spirit in our home! Brody loves the tree, I always find him going over and looking at it and secretly wanting to touch it... but he knows he can't... so then he tries to put his toe on it instead because I only told him he cant touch it with his hands :) I love that silly boy!

We are counting down the days till Christmas! 2 more weeks to go!
It really is such a magical season!

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving my dad came into town to celebrate with us which was so much fun and way to short of a trip! Paula hosted this year which was really great because we havent had Thanksgiving with Ty's family on the actual day of Thanksgiving ever! So we were really excited about it, but you dont get to see any of it because Ty forgot to take pictures! But he did however get pictures of the table before we ate and some of the kids and the family hanging around till we ate! So here's a little taste of our Thanksgiving!

Where we sat and ate our wonderful meal!

Happy Holidays everyone!

15 Months

My little man is growing up into a big man! Well not really but you know what I mean, he is suddenly grown up. He feeds himself, talks to me, plays with Tucker, and is super independent! I think now that he is walking he is right on track with where he should be with kids his age. He was a little slow at walking but everyone kept telling me he will do it at his own pace, I guess I should have known because that is how he was with crawling! So we finally have a fully walking toddler around the house! YEAH! Right in time for the Christmas tree to go up :).... grrrrreat....Brody's stats for his 15 months check up are: weight-21 lbs 10 oz 12%, height-31 3/4 70%, head circumference 18 3/4 63%. Still tall and skinny!
Some of the words Brody has started saying:
Daw (dog)
Whater doin (What are you doin)
Brody (clear as day but only said it once)
Baba (bottle)
Bye brama (Bye grandma)
Hi dad (clear as day :))
Babbles on his play phones.

That's all I can think of right now... But he really is a talker, he could tell stories for days!
Anyways here are some photos of our life lately!

We started swimming lessons and Brody loves them and has seriously learned so much. He reaches for the side of the pool, he can pull himself out, he can hold his breath, kick his legs, needs a little more work on the back stroke and the breast stroke but for the most part he's got it, and we are still working on blowing bubbles too but he is doing great and loves them!
By the way don't mind the ugly-ness of this picture, its the best I can do in a bathing suit at 10 in the morning ok!
My dad came into town :) I love when he does that! He came for Thanksgiving and a little bit of some house hunting, along with some bowling and great food :)

On Friday Ty and I went down to St. George to shop till we dropped! to end our day of shopping we went to dinner at Olive Garden and went to see the lights on the Temple, so gorgeous!
Brody loved the lights, and the stairs! We went up and down maybe 150 times!
